Would you have the guts as an entrepreneur to turn down not one, not two but THREE Dragons Den offers?
For me personally, I think I would be impressed just to have gotten one offer. Entrepreneurs Steve Pearce and Sam Colely however did the unthinkable on the first Dragon’s Den of 2017. With nerves of steel, they said no to three Dragon’s Den offers, knowing that they had other investors lined up.
Their gamble paid off and since the recording of the show, their business TickX, has received £750,000.00 funding and have reached a 40% month-on-month revenue growth.
Being an entrepreneur is all about taking that gamble. Like Richard Branson said in his article on Monday the 02 of January 2017, don’t worry about failing. Instead embrace it. Screw things up. Learn from it and bounce back stronger. Branson ended his article with wise words from Rauschenberg, “Being right can stop all the momentum of a very interesting idea.”
