Sponsorship can help an eligible employer recruit internationally. It is a business responsibility as well as a potential route for an individual worker.
What does sponsorship connect?
The employer's approval, the proposed role and the worker's circumstances need to align. A sponsor licence and a Certificate of Sponsorship are different from a visa; neither guarantees the individual's permission.
What continues after recruitment?
Sponsorship involves ongoing duties, including responsibilities when employment circumstances change. The commercial need for a hire does not remove the need to consider the role, pay and immigration conditions.
