British passport renewal
A British passport's expiry concerns the travel document. It does not, by itself, mean British citizenship has expired. The renewal enquiry still depends on the person's history and records.
If your passport is still validA long gap since the last passport, changes in name or inconsistent personal details can affect the review. A damaged, lost or unavailable old passport may raise different questions from an ordinary renewal.
A previous passport is not a promise of a new document by a particular date. Travel readiness depends on having the appropriate current documents as well as understanding any destination requirements.
