The former Sole Representative route is not available for new applicants establishing a first UK branch. Existing holders may have extension questions, while new expansion plans need a review of current routes.
Older descriptions of the route can make it appear to be a current option for starting a new UK business presence. GOV.UK directs new first-branch expansion enquiries towards the UK Expansion Worker route instead; its requirements need a separate review.
Existing permission brings a different enquiry involving the business, employment and immigration history. Extension or later settlement should not be assumed from the fact that a visa was granted before.
